Team and roles
Everyone in a workspace has one role. Pick the smallest role that lets someone do their job.
| Role | For | Can |
|---|---|---|
| Owner | The workspace’s head | Everything, including members, roles and buying credits. |
| Builder | Engineers | Build, edit, deploy and delete agents; manage tools, knowledge, policies, quality checks, widget, Telegram and API keys. Not members, not buying credits. |
| Billing | Finance | Buy credits and see usage. Read-only everywhere else. Gets billing alerts. |
| Viewer | Managers, stakeholders | See everything and try agents (which uses credits). Changes nothing. |
| Auditor | Compliance | See everything, plus the audit log and its export. Can’t chat with agents. |
backcrew only shows each person the actions their role allows, and refuses anything else.
Invite someone
Section titled “Invite someone”- Open Settings → Members (owners), and enter their email and role.
- backcrew shows you an invitation link - copy it and send it to them (email, chat, anything). It’s shown only once.
- The link works once, only for someone signed in with that email address, and expires after 7 days. Inviting the same person again replaces the old link.
Owners can invite with any role. If your workspace lets builders invite, they can invite builders and viewers only.
Change or remove
Section titled “Change or remove”Owners change roles and remove people in Settings → Members. A workspace always keeps at least one owner. A removed person loses access on their next request; the agents they built stay in the workspace.
